December 2012 Birchbox

I actually stopped getting Birchbox for a couple of months. They just really weren't impressing me very much, but I decided to start it back again. I am really glad I did because this month's box is great!! Here is what all I received in my December Birchbox.

Since this was the December box they changed up the box to be in the Christmas spirit and theme for the month was "all wrapped up."

I think it is absolutely adorable and a very nice touch!

The first item I got is Benefit's It's Potent! Eye Cream.

I was so excited to see this in the box! I have been dying to try this product out. It is supposed to help fade dark circles under the eyes.

Juicy Couture's signature fragrance "Juicy Couture"

Another item I was thrilled to see in my box! This perfume has such a lovely scent. It is a blend of sweet and floral notes. I really love that it is one of the perfume samples that spray!!

Kerastase's Nutritive Nectar Thermique leave in cream
I have actually never tried any products from Kerastase, so I am very anxious to try it out. It is supposed to repair damage from chemical processing and protect your hair from the effects of heat styling.

ModelCo Shine Ultra Lip Gloss in the shade "Strip Tease" is seriously my new favorite lip gloss!!! It is such a beautiful light pink color. It is not sticky at all and smells beyond amazing! It smells like bubblegum to me. It has a built-in mirror on the side which I think is genius!!! How many times do you wish you had a mirror nearby when you are applying lipgloss?!?!

This is a full-sized item which retails for $16.

The Lifestyle Extra is Emily' Dark Chocolate Peppermint Holiday Fortune Cookie. It was delicious!! You do have to enjoy peppermints in order to like this treat though.

My fortune :)

New Years Eve Outfit Ideas

With New Years Eve just around the corner it is definitely time to start thinking about how you are going to bring in the new year and most importantly what you will be wearing into the new year. I have created two different looks that might help you decide what you may want to wear.

Here is look #1:

NYE Look #1

I am madly in love with this navy lace dress! It is just so girly, but so classy. I think the gold would look amazing with the navy. I chose gold glitter heels because..well, I mean hello it is New Years Eve! Glitter and New Years go together like peanut butter and jelly! I think this eye makeup look would look stunning with this outfit.

Here is look #2:

NYE Look 2

I adore this outfit! It is also very girly and classy. The belt that comes with the dress was a little too boring for me, so I made it a little more dressy by adding the cute bow belt. I love the look with the black tights and black heels. I decided to keep the jewelry very simple, but still keeping the girly and classy theme going. I think a smokey eye look would be perfect for this outfit!

As you can probably tell my theme for both outfits is girly and classy. You do not have to spend a ton of money to achieve either one of these looks. They are both very affordable! I hope by looking at my ideas for a great New Years Eve outfit it helped you get a little closer to deciding what you might wear.

Do you know what you are going to wear New Years Eve?

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow

I hope you all had an AMAZING Christmas! I seriously can not believe Christmas has already came and gone and it's about to be 2013! CRAZY!!! I got a ton of gift cards, so I can't wait to do some shopping.
Anything you would recommend for me to get??

We have had some crazy insane cold weather lately and I am really hoping we get some SNOW!! I have been addicted to hot cocoa lately. I need something to warm me up! I am in love with my adorable Mug Rug from Hayley's World to hold my hot cocoa. It is basically a placement for your mug/wine glass/drink and is just oh so adorable! You can get festive Holiday ones or prints for everyday use. I am seriously going to buy them for Stocking Stuffers for next Christmas. Oh yes, I am already planning gifts for next year!!! ;)

Review: Abbey St. Clare's The Bleue Creme

If you read my post yesterday (found HERE) then you would have read that Abbey St. Clare asked me to review a product for them. I chose the Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser to review, but what I didn't know was that Abbey St. Clare was going to send me an additional item to review. I was completely surprised when I opened the package they sent me to discover two products waiting for me. The bonus item they sent me is The Bleue Creme.

Description of the item straight from their website:

This is a light moisturizer with a powerful effect. Vitamins A, B, E, and C nourish the skin while ginseng and comfrey revitalize and calm. man Chamomile is one of the precious blue oils, giving this cream its natural color. It is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatory essential oils. It is excellent for acne prone skin as it helps prevent pimples and blackheads, and helps clean and reduce large pores. Alpha lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory active for youthful, clear, and radiant skin. ALA boosts energy production in your cells, keeping skin looking young. Among its benefits is that it increases smoothness, evens out skin tone, decreases the appearance of large pores, and decreases fine lines and wrinkles. It has been helpful to those with Rosacea to diminish redness and red lines.

What I say:
Abbey St. Clare is 2 for 2 with great products! I will admit I was bit scared when I put a little bit of the lotion on my hand to test it out and it was BLUE! I guess I should have known with the name of the product, but it's not everyday you get a blue moisturizer! I love how silky and lightweight it feels on my skin. It does not feel greasy at all! Not only has my face felt very moisturized, but it has helped a lot with moisturizing my hands!

 Where to find & Price:
You can find the Bleue Creme HERE
Price: $34.00 for a 1.7 Fl Oz Bottle

Review: Abbey St. Clare's Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser

I was approached by Katy from the company, Abbey St. Clare, to see if I wanted to review one of their products. I had never heard of the company, so I immediately went to their website to learn more about the company. I  absolutely LOVE natural products, so I knew I just had to have some of their products. I chose the Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser to try out.

Here is the description of the Cleanser straight from the website:

Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser is a moisturizing 90% organic cleanser made with green tea and rooibos tea extracts that cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish the skin. Moisturizing jojoba beads and glycolic and lactic acids provide a balanced exfoliating action to remove dead surface cells and improve surface texture by encouraging the regeneration of smooth, new, healthy skin. The combined action of the jojoba beads, AHA’s, and Vitamin C help even out discolored skin tones. Mechanical exfoliation, along with regular use of a masque, is the most effective means to obtain that youthful glow that is often lost with aging or damaged skin.

What I say:

I am really impressed with this product. It has done everything it said it was going to. It has left my skin feeling so smooth and looking very healthy! As you all know, I have very sensitive skin, but the jojoba beads were not too harsh for my skin. You just have to be very careful by not rubbing too hard and make sure to follow the directions. The cleanser does not have to be used only on the face, it can be used in other places to help with dry skin..such as: chapped lips, hands, neck, shoulders, and elbows. I have only been using this product for a couple of weeks and my skin has already started looking a lot better. I can't wait to see what it looks like after a couple of months of use!

Even though I only asked for the Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser, Abbey St. Clare also sent me another product to review. If you want to see what it is and my review on it...make sure to check back on tomorrow's post! :)

To learn more about the company Abbey St. Clare, the Green Tea Scruffing Milk Cleanser, or any of their other products- visit their website HERE.

Price: $26.50 for 6.7 Fl Oz.

Guest Post: Holiday Dressing

Hey Guys! My name is Aubree and I blog over at My Fashionate Life :)
I am your average college girl living in Oklahoma, blogging as a creative outlet while school wears her thin.
Typical.

Anyway, I was so excited to have the chance to guest post on Amanda's blog! I absolutely love it and read it everyday!

I put some pictures of my personal style up so you can see if you would like to head on over and party with me!

I like Target, cheesecake, and hats (so many hats!)

So, for my post I decided to do something close to home; Holiday dressing!
So whether you are heading out to a fancy Christmas party or snuggling up by the fire with you loved ones, I hope you can pull some inspiration.
After all, who doesn't love the Holidays? (who said that? Go away)
