20% off of eShakti

A few months ago I reviewed a dress for the company, eShakti. I was extremely impressed with not only the dress, but also the company. If you would like to see my review, click HERE. If you have never heard of eShakti..they are an international fashion company that customizes dresses, shirts, and skirts to fit YOUR body. Their sizes range from size 0 to size 36. You basically pick what you like on their website and customize it to your size and your liking. It just doesn't get much better than that!! I am pretty tall and slender, so finding a dress that not only fits my small waist but is long enough for my long legs is hard to find. eShakti has made it very easy for me to find a dress that I like and that fits well!
This is an example of one dress, but customized different ways.
Here are a few dresses from eShakti that are on my wishlist right now....
Sundresses For Women , Unique Clothing Contrast tones colorblock dress
Her fifties sundressChelsea dress
They are always adding more adorable stuff all the time,
so you should definitely check them out by clicking here.
eShakti is giving my readers 20% off their website to use
now through March 10, 2013.
Make sure you let me know if you use the code,
I would love to know what you get! :)

Putting a Dupe To The Test

Hey Beauties! I hope you all had an amazing weekend.
So I am sure everyone has heard/seen about a million dupes for Benefit's High Beam, but if not..get ready because I am about to test one of the most "claimed" dupes out and see if it really should be put in the "dupe" category. If you are unfamiliar with Benefit's High Beam..then allow me to introduce this product to you. It is a highlighter that can be used on the cupid's bow, arch of the eyebrows, cheekbones, or anywhere else your little heart desires some highlighting. It has been said that it is the best highlighter on the market! In other words, it has quite the reputation! Well, I am putting one of the most popular dupes of this product to the test,
E.L.F.'s Shimmering Facial Whip.

As you can tell from the picture, the Facial Whip looks
a little darker than High Beam.
Let's compare the two products....
E.L.F.'s Shimmering Facial Whip- $1.00
Found at places like: eyeslipsface's website or Target
E.L.F.'s Shimmering Facial Whip is a squeezable tube. I am not crazy about that because it is super easy to squeeze too much out and end up wasting a lot of product that way. You need a teeny tiny amount to apply on your skin.
Benefit's High Beam- Price: $26.00
Found at places like: Sephora
High Beam is almost like nail polish. You basically paint it on your skin! I really really enjoy the application of this product! You don't have to worry about getting too much out.
Final Verdict:
After swatching the two products on my hand I think the E.L.F.'s Shimmering Facial Whip is a teensy tiny bit darker. Not by much though...they definitely look a lot alike. So much alike that once you apply them to your cheekbones you can not tell a difference between the two at all! I wore one on each cheek and no one could tell I was wearing two different products. They both wore off around the same time. The only difference I could really find was that the Facial Whip has a bit of a scent to it. It's actually a really yummy smell- it sorta reminded me of candy? It wasn't overwhelming though and you can't smell it after a few seconds after application. High Beam does not have a scent. Depending on your preference, that could possible be a deal breaker if you don't like scented products.
So, yes I have to agree that E.L.F.'s Shimmering Facial Whip is definitely a dupe for Benefit's High Beam. Even though I really prefer the High Beam's "nail polish-esque" applicator..I say save yourself $25 and buy the Shimmering Facial whip for only $1.00. I mean wow the exact same product for only $1.00! That's insane!

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone had an amazing Valentines Day!
Last week I posted about one of my favorite bloggers, Claire from Pink Chick Claire, and I having another beauty swap a few weeks back. She sent me a ton of really great products and I am so thankful! Two of the items she sent me are the MUA Undressed Palette and the Heaven & Earth Palette. I reviewed and had swatches of the Undressed Palette in that post which you can find HERE if you didn't see it. Today I am going to show you the Heaven and Earth Palette.

Just like the Undressed Palette, the Heaven and Earth Palette does not have names for the shadows.
A Close of shadows 1-6 and swatches

All of the eyeshadows are very creamy, pigmented, gorgeous, and oh so buttery smooth! This palette is perfect for the neutral eye lover! All of the shadows are extremely blendable. There are no matte shadows in this palette though. With eyeshadow primer, I had no problem with the eyeshadows not lasting all day or creasing. I am yet again very impressed with the brand, MUA. Again, the only bad thing I have found with MUA is that they do not sell products in the US. You have to buy them online and pay for international shipping. But remember if you like MUA Cosmetics on Facebook, they offer free international shipping at certain times.
Price for this palette:
£4.00 which is about $6.28US
To visit MUA's website, click HERE.
You can also find MUA at Superdrug which is the UK version of Drugstore.
Have you tried the Heaven and Earth Palette?
If so, what did you think about it?

Ipsy February 2013

Hey beauties- Happy Valentines Day!
So after seeing a few posts about  the latest bags from Ipsy I decided to start my subscription back. I have to admit when I was getting this service a few months ago I started getting disappointed month after month and finally cancelled. From what I have seen it looks like since they changed the name from MyGlam to Ipsy, they have definitely improved with better brands and better deluxe sized samples.
I am not crazy about this month's bag. It is a black shiny material with red on the inside. It has the Ipsy logo on the inside as well. It is just a little too boring for me! I like designs on my makeup bag, like cute flowers or something! It's not the worst bag that I have received from Ipsy, but it's definitely not my favorite!
Here is everything I got in February's Ipsy Bag....
Pixi Flawless & Poreless Face Primer
This is definitely a good sized sample! It is 0.5 FL OZ in size.
I will definitely be able to get a few good uses out of it. I am really excited about this product. It is Oil Free and hypoallergenic which sounds amazing to my sensitive skin!
Pop Beauty Smokey Kapow Mascara in Smokey Black
Another really great sized sample! I am really glad that is in Black and not a crazy color like purple that I probably would never wear. I am very excited to try out this mascara!
Micabeauty Gel Eyeliner in Black
I have actually never heard of MicaBeauty Cosmetics, so I am thrilled to try it out. Maybe even have a new favorite makeup brand?! OK I am jumping the gun a little, but I love discovering new brands- well new to me at least! I don't know if it's just me or is this an actual full sized item?!?! It doesn't have the size listed on the product, but when I went to the website it looked like it could be the full sized version.
Lash Card
You get 4 Mascara shields that prevent smudging and clumping. They are ideal for separating lashes, layering mascara, hard to reach lashes, and bottom lashes. I also think they would be great for catching eyeshadow! I am very anxious and curious about this product! I do have a hard time getting those bottom lashes, so this could be an answered prayer?? ;)
"In the Spotlight" Eye Shadow Sample Set from Coastal Scents
I was thrilled when I saw this cute little set in the bag! I have never tried any eye shadows from Coastal Scent, but have always wanted to! I always see other beauty gurus talking about how great their shadows are! Ipsy sent out two different eyeshadow sets: a silver one and a gold one. I received the gold set.
the names of the shades starting with top row left to right:
Dark Goldenrod, Sunbeam
Bottom Row, left to right:
Golden Globe, Dark Golden Olive
So I am pretty impressed with this month's Ipsy.
I got good sized samples and possibly a full-sized item...not bad at all, if you ask me!

Palmolive Fresh Infusions

Hey y'all! I was chosen to receive the Palmolive Fresh Infusions Vox Box from Influenster. I was very impressed with the size of the dish soaps that I received. I did not get just one Fresh Infusion dish soap to try out, but three full sized soaps. I got the scents Ginger White Tea, Lime Basil, and Lemon Thyme. They all smell AMAZING and most importantly they leave your dishes very clean! I do have a dishwasher, but I am one of those crazies that have to wash my dishes by hand before I put them in the dishwasher..I know, I know, what is the point in putting them in the dishwasher if I have already washed them?!
Well, I just like extremely clean dishes! :)
(Left to right: Ginger White Tea, Lime Basil, and Lemon Thyme)
As you can tell from the picture, the Ginger White Tea is my favorite. It just smells so good! Don't get me wrong- the other two smell great, but the Ginger White Tea smells beyond amazing! I love the fancy packaging of the soaps. If I wouldn't have received them from Influenster I would definitely buy them based off the packaging. One of my favorite thing about the soaps are that they are Phosphate free! I love that! The only thing I don't like about the soaps is that it does leave your hands feeling a bit dry. I wish it was more moisturizing than it is.
I let my sister try out the soaps and her favorite was the Lemon Thyme. She said that she loves the clean, crisp smell. She also raved about how many suds she had from just a tiny drop! Each soap is $2.96 which I think is a pretty reasonable price for the size and amount of soap you get. I have paid more than that for a dish soap before (not going to mention any names) and was let down with the product.

Or if you would like to try out any of the dish soaps,
visit your local Wal-Mart or you can buy them off their website found HERE.

*Disclaimer- I did receive these items complimentary from Influenster. The review is based off of my honest opinion.

Review: MUA Undressed Palette

Hey girls! I apologize for the long gap since my last post. I had the flu pretty bad and have been working a lot of hours at work. I have had very little time for relaxation. Hopefully things won't be as hectic and I can get back to posting more.
So anyways, my favorite UK Blogger, Claire from PinkChickClaire, and I had another Beauty Swap a few weeks back. She sent me some AMAZING stuff that I am so excited to share with y'all. I will have a post up later this week with all of the goodies she sent me. She sent me not just one MUA Palette, but two. MUA (Makeup Academy) is quickly becoming one of my favorite makeup brands. Not only are they reasonably priced, but they also have great quality.
Two of the most known products from MUA are the Heaven & Earth Palette and the Undressed Palette. I have been wanting to try both of them out for so long, so I made sure to put them on my wish list for Claire.
Here is the Undressed Palette:
MUA does not have names for their eyeshadows in the palette.
They call them shade 1, shade 2, etc....
Here is a closer look at the top row..
A closer look at the bottom row...

I am in love with this palette!
The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and are easily blendable .
The palette is mixed with matte shadows and shimmery ones.
It is great for neutral looks, but could also make a nice smokey eye as well.
It is in a plastic case which kind of worries me because I am really clumsy and I could probably see myself breaking the lid.
I am going to cross my fingers and hope that doesn't happen! ;)
It comes with a double ended sponge applicator. I don't really see myself using it, but it's great to have it if you accidentally forget your eyeshadow brush and are out somewhere.
A lot of people say that the Undressed Palette is a Dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. After looking at the shadows in person--I have to agree with them! It is definitely a great dupe for the UD Palette. Two of my favorite bloggers, Stephanie and Laura, did a comparison post on the two palettes. If you would like to read it, click HERE to visit their blog, A Brunette Duet.
The bad part about this palette...
it is not sold in the US :(
You have to buy it online and pay for the shipping, but I did hear that the shipping isn't too expensive and they get it to you pretty fast.
Plus, if you like MUA on Facebook they post specials and have free international shipping sometimes.
So definitely check that out!!
The best thing about this palette is the PRICE!
You can get this baby for only £4.00 which is around $6.28.
Since the UD Naked Palette is $50..I think this is an AMAZING deal!
To visit MUA's website, click HERE.
You can also find MUA at Superdrug which is the UK version of Drugstore.
