ShopStyle: We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle!

Hey y'all! I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving and maybe even scored some
great deals on Black Friday!

I had the privilege to work with POPSUGAR's ShopStyle Program: We Search. We Find. We ShopStyle! Campaign. I was able to create my own masterpiece with a few of my favorite pieces from my own closet. I decided to go with a "black and white" theme and
included two of my favorite perfumes.

Here is everything I chose:
Jimmy Choo Perfume
Zebra Pumps
Aztec Cardigan
Black Bow Tank

Products to Help Achieve a Great Manicure

Hey guys!
Today's post will be about some of the products I use to help achieve a great manicure. I didn't list any tools that I use to cut my cuticles or push them back. I may do a post about that later!

But here are the products I am using now:

Q-Tips Precision Tips
I love these Q-Tips! The pointed tips are perfect for fixing any mess ups that I make while painting my nails. They are also great for makeup as well!

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream
Not only does this cuticle cream smell amazing, but it is amazing on my cuticles!
It has really made a huge difference!

J.R. Watkins Hand & Cuticle Salve
Just to mix it up a little bit I switch between this cuticle salve and the Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream.
I also really enjoy this product for my cuticles!

O.P.I. Base Coat
I have to say I am not completely crazy about this base coat. I am basically using it for now until I can find one I really love. Do you have any recommendations?

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat
I absolutely adore this top coat! It is by far the best top coat I have used! I actually did a review on this product a while back. If you would like to read it, click HERE

I am always on the hunt for products that can help me get the best manicure, so if you have any product share!! :)

What products do you use to help get a great manicure?

Drugstore VS. Hi-End: Hair Oil

Happy Monday y'all!
So have you ever had the tough decision of deciding between a hi-end product and a drugstore version of the same type of product? I know I have...way too many times! You always want to know if spending that extra money on the hi-end product is actually worth it! Well, I have decided to compare some drugstore products verses the hi-end product.

Today's post will be all about Hair Oils!

Drugstore: L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil
Hi-End: Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum

Ok, so let's talk about the Drugstore Product first..

This hair oil can be used on dry hair or damp hair. It is an advanced treatment with ceramide that helps seal split ends. It is supposed to tame flyaways, and infuse lasting, luminous shine. It does have a spray nozzle and has a nice scent to it. If you do spray it on your hair you do need to brush the product throughout your hair or else you will only have product in one part of your hair. But that is with any product that has a spray nozzle.

I really enjoyed this product when I used it. I could definitely tell a difference in my hair. My hair did seem a lot more shinier that usual and felt very soft. I don't have anything bad to say about the product! I was impressed with this hair oil.

Price: $5.99

Now for the Hi-End product...
This hair oil is supposed to help with frizz control, instant shine, and also help seal split ends. They say your hair will instantly feel and look healthier, silkier and shiny. This bottle has a pump nozzle which is a huge plus for me. This way you can choose how much product you want without having to waste a lot of product. It also has a very nice scent to it which they describe as natural geranium and bergamot fruit oils.

I have to say this product is good, but it isn't great. It didn't give me that wow effect
I didn't really notice in my hair when I used it.

Price: $30.00

So after going over both products, I have to say save your money and go for the Drugstore Product.

The winner of this challenge goes to:
L'Oreal's Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil

Guest Post: Pantone Color Trends for 2014

Hey guys! Today's post will feature Elizabeth from Swell Caroline. I have fallen in love with the jewelry from their website. So after you read this great piece from Elizabeth, make sure you stop by their website. Enjoy! :)
Pantone Color Trends for 2014
Pantone celebrates 2014 with “A Season of Colorful Equilibrium.” Soft, dreamy pastel shades are paired with bold, vibrant hues to create a fashion color palette that comes on strong yet subtle. Leading the pack of colors for 2014 is Dazzling Blue – a truly inspired choice.
Evoking class and elegance, Dazzling Blue is a color that lives up to its name. It’s a color that is easy to play around with yet bold enough to stand on its own. It is also a color that most people probably already have in their closets, which makes it easier than ever to remain trendy this season.
Sand is also a great color choice for any outfit. Described as lightly toasted and neutral, this Pantone color is reminiscent of the beach and pairs well with any other color for 2014. For those warm days of spring, dress up a light linen dress with a Dazzling Blue, Cayenne or Hemlock statement necklace and classic pearl earrings, blazing yellow bangles or a sterling silver monogrammed bracelet.
If your style is more subtle and understated, coordinate a pair of Dazzling Blue teardrop earrings with a Cayenne channel bracelet and a black or neutral colored dress to make the accessories really pop without feeling too overwhelming.

For a bolder style, invest in a white textured blazer (one of the must-have items for 2014) and accessorize it with a Placid Blue and Hemlock Green Rachelle Bracelet and toggle statement necklace in Celosia Orange and white.
The Pantone theme of 2014 is definitely centered around natural versatility. All of the colors are commonly found in nature and can be easily be combined with any other hue in the spectrum. All the different hues on the Pantone palette allow for unique, effortless styles that suit your mood and complement your best assets no matter what the occasion.
This is definitely one trend that you don't want to miss out on, so start shopping now so you can be ahead of the curve when next year's fashion week hits!
