Ipsy | December 2013

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!
I definitely had a wonderful day!
I figured I had better put up my December Ipsy post
before the month is completely over.
So here it is..everything I got from Ipsy this month!

I absolutely love the bag this month. It does not feel flimsy or cheap at all. It is actually a very nice bag and I think it's my favorite one I have received from Ipsy.

I love this Pop Beauty eyeshadow trio in "naturally bare."
They are super pigmented and very creamy.

So in love!

Be a.. Bombshell The One Stick in "Girl Crush"
This stick can be used as eyeshadow, lipstick, on the cheeks, or anywhere else your heart desires. It is in a beautiful light pink color.

NYX Lipstick
I couldn't find an actual name for the lipstick except "LSS565 B52"
It is a beautiful mauve color. It is very creamy and does feel very moisturizing on my lips.

NYX Lipstick on top
Be A Bombshell The One Stick is bottom swatch

NickAK Nail Polish
I couldn't find the name for this polish either, but it is a beautiful deep red. It took two coats for it to be completely opaque. It was super easy to apply.

I really liked everything about this polish..from the look of the bottle, the brush, the way it applies, and it's lasting power.

Demeter Roll On Perfume in Snow
This is definitely my least favorite item in the Ipsy Bag. It smells so bad! I put it on and immediately was disgusted by the scent. It does not smell like snow at all, but if that is what snow smells like...well then I never want to smell like it! YUCK!

Favorite Personal Care Products

Hey dolls!
So today's post will be all about personal care!
I have listed a few of my favorite things,

First up, Body Wash!
I absolutely love Dove's Winter Care Body Wash.
It is perfect for that dry winter skin. It also smells really really good.
It is Limited Edition, so I just may have to stock up on it.

Shaving Cream!
I have used conditioner in the past to shave my legs, but I really do enjoy Pure Silk's Raspberry Mist Shaving cream. I have super sensitive skin and can get razor burn extremely easy, so I need a thick cream when shaving. I like this shaving cream because it leaves my skin feeling super soft.

Personal Cleansing Cloths
I know, I know this is a super sensitive subject, but why can't we talk about this!? We obviously need to be clean right!? Well, I love these Cleansing Cloths from FDS (Feminine Discreet Sensual).
They come in 3 packs of 10 and come in these adorable packets.
They do have a light scent, but is not overwhelming.
They are perfect for on-the-go.

Now you all know that I do love when a product is free of chemicals.

This product is:
Free of Parabens, Sulfates and Alcohol
Gentle enough for Sensitive skin
pH balanced & hypoallergenic
Gynecologist tested
Dermatologist tested
Discreet and flushable

No colors or dyes

Review: CoverGirl Whipped Creme

Hey guys! Happy Happy Happy Sunday to ya!
Today's post is going to be about Covergirl's Whipped Creme Foundation. I was sent this product for review and was so excited to try it out because I have never tried anything like it before. It is a mousse foundation which is definitely stepping out of my comfort zone. I have always tried to stay away from mousse consistency foundations because I felt like it would make my oily skin an even oilier hot mess! But I decided to give it a whirl and I was actually pretty shocked that it wasn't as bad as I thought.

What they say:
Our new lightweight whipped creme foundation gives your skin a boost of moisture without the greasy, shiny finish. You’ll love the dreamy, 100% breathable formula that leaves your skin looking smooth, natural, and matte. Available in 10 shades to match your skin tone.

My thoughts:
My initial first thought of this foundation was how smooth and easy it was to apply. I tried using both my fingers and a foundation brush.. I ended up liking using my fingers better. It does feel very lightweight and can definitely be buildable. I would say it is more light to medium coverage. A little definitely goes a long way with this foundation. I accidentally put way too much on the first time and had to start all over, so I learned my lesson rather quickly. It made my skin feel very silky.

I didn't like the lasting power of this foundation. After about 4 hours, it was like I was not wearing any foundation at all. I was in shock! I didn't know if it was just because of my oily skin that made the foundation completely disappear I looked online to see if others were having the same problem as I was or if it was just me..turns out I wasn't the only one. A lot of others were complaining about the lasting problems.

So overall, trying a mousse foundation wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I just wish this would have had longer lasting power.

What do you think about mousse foundations?
Love them or Hate them?

Christmas Wish List 2013

Hey beauties!
So I have a ton of beauty products I want to try out, but I have finally narrowed it down to 4 things! Believe me, that was really tough! I tried to pick things in the lower price range and some on the pricier side.

I have been wanting some "good" makeup brushes for awhile now. Everyone has been raving about the Sigma ones. I actually don't think I have heard anything bad about Sigma. So they are on the top of my list of things I want.
Found Here

I was going to make a trip to a Lush Store a couple of months ago, but ended up not being able to.  So I  have never tried anything from Lush, but am really wanting to!  I have also heard wonderful things about this Tea Tree Water. Tea Tree is supposed to do wonders to your skin and since I unfortunately have acne-prone, sensitive skin I am hoping this will be a great product to add to my beauty routine.

Another product from Lush that I am really wanting. I do not have hardly any volume in my hair, so I need something to give my hair that extra oomph. Casey Holmes (itsbl0ndie on YouTube) is always talking about this product in her hair care routine and says it really does help her hair.

I think this product is no shock to anyone! I have the Naked 2 palette and absolutely love it! When I found out they were coming out with a Naked 3, well I just knew I had to have it! The shadows look absolutely gorgeous and can't wait to get my hands on them and try out a lot of different eye looks with them!

So what is on your Christmas Wish List this year?

Revlon Rich Raspberry

Revlon Spanish Moss

So what are your favorite Fall nail polishes?

Review: Studio Gear Cosmetics' Holiday Smokey Eye Palette

Hey beauties!
So I was sent Studio Gear Cosmetics' Holiday Smokey Eye Palette to review. I do have a few products from Studio Gear already that I love, so I was very excited to receive this palette.
It has four shimmer eyeshadows and one blush.

It has a very festive protective slip.

Back of the slip!

The palette itself is very sleek and compact. It is slender and would be
able to fit in your purse perfectly.

I love the look of the inside of the palette! The top has a step-by-step instructions on how to achieve a smokey eye look. It does give a diagram on the top left corner with the names of the eye shadows and the blush.

*Note* the shade names on the picture diagram are different in the palette from where they are placed in the diagram.

You get 4 shimmer eyeshadows and 1 blush.

Blush (center): Snowy Glow
A gorgeous pinky coral blush!

 Top Left: Frost
A White shimmer that would be Great for the inner eye corner or highlight under the brow bone.

Top Right: Coal
Black shadow with silver, blue, and red glitter. Very pretty!

Bottom Left: Platinum
A silver metallic shadow.

Bottom Right: Glimmer
A gorgeous light gold

The shadows are very creamy, not chalky at all. I did not have a lot of fall out at all. They are very pigmented, but worn with primer really brings out the shadows. The blush is also very pigmented and is absolutely gorgeous on. It almost reminds me of NARS' Orgasm......just a little lighter. It has the pinky coral look that Orgasm has though.

This palette probably wouldn't be my go-to everyday palette because it is all shimmer eyeshadows. But isn't made to be an everyday palette, well unless you love your shimmers. It is a Holiday Palette and I think it is definitely perfect for the holidays!! Now I will definitely be using the blush a lot more than just for the holidays.

Usually $40, but is on sale right now for $25
(I am not sure how long it will be on sale)

Want to get an even better deal?!
Use coupon code SGHOLIDAY to get 10%  off.

Is there a certain palette you always turn to during the Holidays?
