Review: InstaNatural's Deep Sea Mud Mask and Emu Oil

I hope y’all had an amazing day spending time with the ones you love for Valentines. So I wrote a post a few days ago about some products from a brand called InstaNatural. Well, I was given the honor of trying a few more of their products. If you would like to read my previous post about a few of InstaNatural’s products, simply click HERE. This time I was given the opportunity to try out their Deep Sea Mud Mask and the 100% Pure Ultra Premium Emu Oil.

So let’s talk about the Deep Sea Mud Mask first. It is 100% natural, mineral-infused holistic detoxifier & purifier. It came in a 16 oz tub. It is huge! I was very impressed with the size of the tub. The mask is charcoal gray and looks very intimidating when you first look at it. You only have to apply a thin layer to your face once a week, so it will definitely last you a very long time. It does smell like clay, but it is very faint and fades away once you apply it to your face. It says to leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes until the mask is dry. It is really neat when it dries on your face. My husband said I looked like I had been playing in dirt all day. I did read some other reviews about the mask and some people did experience a slight tingly sensation when the mask was drying. I actually did not experience that at all and I do have very sensitive skin…maybe they have extremely sensitive skin. I did read that one blogger put an oil on(she said any oil will work such as coconut oil or emu oil) first and then put the mask on. She did not feel any tingly sensation when doing that. The mask will tighten and the color will change when it has completely dried. My face felt extremely soft and very clean when I took the mask off. The following day I had a glow to my face…and no it was not from being oily. Haha My skin looked healthier and still felt very clean. InstaNatural recommends you do not use the mask more than once a week. I will definitely be looking forward to that day every week that I can use it on my face! I absolutely love that you can use the mask for more than a face mask, you can also use it on your body to relieve and soothe muscle aches. I just think that is awesome! I haven’t used it on my body yet, but I will definitely have to give that a try. I just have been a slacker and haven’t worked out in a while, so I haven’t had any sore muscles. Oops ;)

Now let’s talk about the Emu Oil….

Here’s what InstaNatural says about the oil from their website:

It is naturally rich in unsaturated fatty acids and provides unsurpassed moisturizing benefits to the skin and hair. Can be used on all skin types. The oil comes in a 4 fl oz/120 ml glass bottle with a pump. The oil is a very clear consistency. It does not have a scent to it. You can use it for your face, skin, hair, and nails. I tried 3 out of 4. The only way I didn’t use the oil was on my face. I do have very sensitive skin and so I always get so nervous putting oils on my face. But it could have been the most magical thing for my face, so maybe I will give it a try…. It feels very lightweight and absorbs into your skin very quickly. It makes your skin feel so soft. When I rubbed it on my nails, I can tell a difference in my cuticles after a few days of using it. My nails do look so much healthier. My favorite place to rub the oil into my skin was on my elbows. I always suffer from dry elbows. This oil did wonders on my dry elbows! I applied the Emu Oil to my hair when it was wet and when it was dry to test it out both ways. I have to admit I don’t really care for it on dry hair. You can definitely tell I had the oil in my hair. It made my hair look greasy, but you would get that if you put any oil in your dry hair. When I applied the oil on my wet hair it definitely made my hair very shiny and it didn’t make my hair greasy at all. It also did not weight my hair down.
I really did enjoy using the emu oil this way.

Price: $21.95

I am definitely not saying this because I was sent the products to review, but I am really loving this brand. Everything that I have tried out has been wonderful. I absolutely love that all of the products are 100% natural. I also learned that their products are made in the USA and are not tested on animals. It just makes me love their company even more. I love my animals! I am definitely wanting to try out more of their products.
