Review: Pure & Essential Minerals' Dead Sea Mud Mask

Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a wonderful, relaxing day. I have read a lot about the benefits of dead sea mud masks lately. They are supposed to help reduce pores, clear skin, and leave your skin with a nice glow. I have tried a dead sea mud mask before, but I love to venture out and try new brands to see if I can possibly better results. So when Brandbacker was offering a dead sea mud mask from Pure & Essential Minerals I knew I wanted to test it out.

Here is what Pure & Essential Minerals says about the mask:
The Dead Sea mud mask is laden with over 21 essential minerals from the Dead Sea. Each one is highly-renowned for its skin healing properties. While the mud mask does it job of deep cleansing, drawing out excess oils, impurities and toxins for an anti-aging effect, the organic essential oils keep your skin naturally hydrated, adding a softness and glow to your complexion.

Here are some of the benefits of using this Dead Sea Mud Mask:
1. Dead Sea Mud Mask Removes Dead Skin Cells - the natural silica found in the black mud hardens on the skin once you apply the mask. This step allows the mask to extract toxins and impurities located deep in the skin layers, and also to attach to dead skin cells. After washing it all off the result is clear looking skin, with clean pores and even skin tone.

2. Dead Sea Mud Mask Can Help with Acne - thanks to its therapeutic effect, this mask is a real life saver if you suffer from acne, black heads and breakouts. Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask contains natural minerals like magnesium, calcium, sulphur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium, which are known to treat, detoxify, and cleanse the skin.

3. Dead Sea Mud Mask Stimulates Circulation - when blood circulation is poor it leads to an uneven skin tone, patches on the skin, and may even cause wrinkles. By applying a weekly facial mud mask you can dramatically increase blood flow to your skin cells and achieve a healthier and plumper looking skin.

All Natural and Organic ingredients include: Pure Dead Sea Mud, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Jojoba Oil, Hickory Bark Extract, Organic Calendula Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Filtered Water, Xanthan Gum

What I say about the Dead Sea Mud Mask:
The mask comes in a 6 oz tub. It has a brownish greyish thick consistency. It looks like ..well..mud. My husband thinks it looks like cement. The mask has a very minty scent to it. It was a little overwhelming at first, but then it isn't as bad after a few seconds. The first time I used the mask I didn't follow the instructions (oopsie) and applied the mask after I washed my face. I felt like the mask did not really do anything impressive to my skin. So I reread the instructions and realized what I had done wrong. So I waited a few days and then tried again. This time I followed the instructions to a T (yay me!). That was definitely the key factor. This time I had great results. Once applied the mask felt a little tingly on my skin, but it only lasted a few seconds. I could feel like the mask drying on my face. When it was completely dried after about 10 minutes I removed the mask. The minty scent made the mask feel so refreshing when I removed the mask. My skin felt so soft and so clean. I noticed that skin did have a very nice glow to it. The following day my skin still looked and felt so clean.

Have you tried a Dead Sea Mask before?

Are you down with the latest hair trend?

Have you noticed how so many celebs are coloring their hair different colors lately? Like not just normal hair colors, but blues and purples. I know this has been a thing for awhile, but it seems like more and more celebs are doing it now. I just saw on Instagram today that Hilary Duff is the latest celebrity to go blue.

Maybe it's where I live, but I really haven't noticed a lot of people that aren't celebrities doing this trend except maybe just the ends of their hair a bright color like pink. I think it's really cool we live in a world where we can express ourselves by changing our hair color to whatever we feel like. The only problem I see with it is will good paying jobs still hire you if you have blue or purple hair? Will people still take you seriously if you have different hair color and you are not a celeb?

Here are just a few celebs that are with this latest trend....

What are your thoughts on this trend?

Review: Radha Beauty's Argan Oil & Coconut Oil

I have definitely been talking about different kind of oils on the blog lately. I can't help it.. I am obsessed with them! I am a firm believer in their benefits and can not say enough about them. So it will come to no surprise that today's post will be about more oils. It is about Radha Beauty's Argan Oil and Coconut Oil. With both of these oils you can use them on your hair, face, neck, and body.
Keep reading to see my thoughts on them....

What it is: Argan Oil is a 100% organic, chemical-free oil that truly moisturizes and revitalizes your skin.  It has so much Vitamin E and essential fatty acids that you can immediately feel the amazing healing properties—for skin, hair, feet and nails.

What it is: Argan Oil is a 100% organic, chemical-free oil that truly moisturizes and revitalizes your skin.  It has so much Vitamin E and essential fatty acids that you can immediately feel the amazing healing properties—for skin, hair, feet and nails.

My thoughts:
The Argan Oil comes in a 4 oz/120 ml glass bottle. It comes with an eyedropper. It does have a very light scent, but it is actually quite pleasant. When I rub this on my skin it sinks into my skin almost immediately. It feels very lightweight and does not feel greasy at all. I love putting this on my body when I get out of the shower. My favorite way to use the Argan Oil is in my hair. I will put a few drops on towel-dried hair right before I blow dry my hair. My hair absolutely loves this stuff! It has added so much shine to my hair and made my hair less frizzy. Another favorite use of the oil is rubbing it on my nails and cuticles.  A little definitely goes a long way whether you are using it in your hair or on your body.

Here is how Radha Beauty describes the Coconut Oil:
The Coconut Oil is excellent on the skin and is a fantastic natural moisturizer. It can be mixed with other carriers and essential Oils. The Coconut Oil is predominantly composed of saturated fatty acids. It does not go rancid and has a very long shelf life. You can apply after you get out of the shower/bath and pat dry. It is a great massage oil that can be mixed with other essential oils such as lavender and peppermint. The Coconut Oil can help tame Frizzy hair and also works as a great moisturizer.

My thoughts:
Coconut Oil is definitely my favorite of all of the oils. There are just so many ways you can use, on your hair or skin, or as a carrier for other oils..just to name a few. Radha Beauty's 100% Pure Fractionated Coconut Oil comes in a 16 Fl Oz/ 473 ML plastic bottle. It is huge! It has a pop top lid. I really like the look of the bottle. I find it very pretty actually with the coconuts on the label. It is odorless and is a clear liquid. Since it is fractionated coconut oil it will stay in the liquid form. It also absorbs into your skin very quickly and does not feel greasy at all either. I have very sensitive skin and actually had an allergic reaction to some shampoo I was using, so I rubbed a little of the Coconut Oil on the rash. The rash was completely gone the next day. I also like using the oil as a carrier for other oils..such as peppermint oil or lemon oil. When I need a little boost of energy I love rubbing lemon oil behind my ears and anytime I have a headache I like to rub peppermint oil also behind my ears and on my temples..the coconut oil is a great carrier for those oils! I love using this oil as a "hot oil treatment"..I just pour a couple of drops into a microwave safe bowl and heat it up in the microwave. Then massage it into my hair and make sure to lather it up really well on the ends. It has really helped my hair become stronger and so much healthier!!

I am very impressed with both the Argan Oil and the Coconut Oil from Radha Beauty. I love that both products are 100% pure with no added chemicals. Radha Beauty has a lifetime satisfaction guarantee.

Get the Look For Less: Kendall Jenner

Hey loveys! So I am obsessed with fashion and I love looking at celebrities for inspiration. I always wish I could recreate the exact look with exactly what the celebs are wearing, but unfortunately I don't have their paycheck. So I can't afford to get the exact looks. But I have found that you can find almost the same outfit at a much more affordable rate. I have done a few Get The look For Less posts before, so I thought I would bring back the series. So today's post I decided to recreate Kendall Jenner's look. Kendall has definitely grown into a style icon. When I saw this outfit I fell in love with it. It is very simple, but still very stylish at the same time.

Total for outfit: $142.74

Not bad huh?! Definitely very affordable and since it is getting warmer outside you can probably find some of the items in the outfit on clearance at the stores...which would make this outfit even cheaper.

What celebrity do you look at for inspiration?

Madam Glam Nail Polishes Review

Hey guys! So as you saw from yesterday's post on my Spring Wishlist/Must-Have List painting my nails in Spring is a must for me! It really just puts in a much better mood to look down at my nails and see color. Winter months can be dull and all of those dark colors can sometimes bring you down a little. So the first sight of warmer weather...I am ready for bright, colorful nails!!
So I was sent some nail polishes from Madam Glam. I don't think it could have came at a better time and I could not wait to get home and paint my nails with these colors and try them out. All of Madam Glam's nail polishes are vegan, cruelty free, and 5-free. The bottles are glass, but they feel very sturdy. I really like the design of the bottles. It is very different than any other nail polishes I have ever seen. I was sent four different polishes: Midnight, No Strings Attached, Wonderland, and Bronze Me Baby.

Left: Wonderland
Right: Bronze Me Baby

Wonderland is described as a cherry pink. It is a gelly formula and it took me 2 coats to make it opaque. It seriously is the perfect pink for Spring and Summer! Very bright and cheerful!

Bronze Me Baby is the queen of perfect gold glitter! I am not even kidding! It is absolutely gorgeous!! I honestly could not stop staring at my nails when I was wearing it. It actually was not even that hard to remove. I sat a cotton ball with nail polish remover on each nail for about 20-30 seconds and it wiped right off. I was very impressed! I usually hate wearing glitter polish because of how difficult it is to removed, but I will definitely be rocking Bronze Me Baby a lot.  It took 2 coats for it to be opaque.

Left: Midnight
Right: No Strings Attached

Midnight is absolutely gorgeous! It is a deep purple with crème formula. It seriously only took one coat for it to be completely opaque. It is so shiny that I didn't even need a top coat to give it that extra shine. I think this will be the perfect Fall color.

No Strings Attached is a very lovely deep metallic berry color. It took me about 2 coats for it to be opaque. I got several compliments when I wore this color. This polish definitely stands out!

I was very impressed with the Madam Glam polishes. They all are very pigmented and very glossy. They all dried very quickly and was super easy to work with. I was able to maneuver the brush with ease. They didn't chip easily either which is definitely something you look for in a nail polish...I mean hello you don't want to have to repaint the nail, at least I don't. The price is a little on the pricier side. They are $10.95. But you definitely get what you pay for...and I don't think you would be disappointed with these polishes.

BUT Madam Glam is offering my readers 30% off your order!!

Just click this link, HERE, to go to their website
and enter the code: STRNGLM30

Happy Shopping! :)

Spring 2015 Wishlist/ Must Have List

Ahh the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the flowers are starting to bloom....Spring is almost here! It is 81 degrees where I live today and I am so happy! I love warm weather and am very ready for Spring to officially get here. So with this warmer weather it has definitely put me in the springtime mood.

Here is my Spring 2015 Wishlist/Must Haves:

1. FEDORA HATS: I pretty much love fedora hats anytime of the year, but I have decided this Spring I am definitely going to venture more into them. There are so many cute ones out now that I can hardly contain myself. I love the lace detail on this Forever 21 Fedora Hat. It really adds a feminine touch to it.

2. FLORAL HEADBANDS: so stinkin' cute for Spring and Summer! I love how cute and flirty they are. They just scream Spring and Summer to me. I can not even wait to start wearing them! This one from Windsor is so pretty!

3. BOOTIES: I think these are another staple item that can be worn anytime of the year, but I am really excited to wear them in the Spring time with colored denim or with wornout denim. I love the look of these from Nordstrom. I think it adds a "grown up" look to any outfit!

4. COLORED DENIM: These are definitely my favorite thing to buy in the Spring. I especially love a mint or salmon colored  jean. Forever 21 is definitely my go-to for colored denim. They are very affordable, but still very cute!

5. NAIL POLISH: Yes!! All of those gorgeous nail polishes...I.can't.even.wait! I need some color in my life. I am in love with Essie's Spring 2015 Collection. I will definitely be investing in this collection!

What is on your Wishlist/Must-Have List for Spring?

NOTD: OPI "Alpine Snow"

So March has started out with a big roar..a big white roar...SNOW! We have had so much snow lately that I have almost forgot what the ground looks like without snow. I had the urge to paint my nails a few days ago (I have been a slacker and have been enjoying the "nude" look on my nails the past few weeks). I decided to go with OPI's Alpine Snow. I thought it would be very fitting.... ;)
I love OPI nail polish! It is very creamy and opaque after 2 coats. I think Alpine Snow is a gorgeous pure white color. I absolutely adore it!

What are you wearing on your nails?

Review: InstaNatural's Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oil

Hey there! Happy Friday! Ahh I love saying those words. I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned...even if it just staying inside with your pajamas on just binge watching your favorite tv shows. We all of those weekends, right?! Or is it just me...
So I have reviewed a few products from InstaNatural a couple of times in the past couple of months. What can I say..I am definitely loving this company and their products. I love that their main focus is using premium organic and natural ingredients in their formulations without the use of harmful alcohols, parabens, or sulfates. I am trying my hardest to use more natural products and trying to stay away from all of those harsh chemicals. So this time I tried out their Lemon and Peppermint Essential Oils. I absolutely love essential oils. I am a firm believer in their many benefits.
Here is what InstaNatural says about the Lemon Essential Oil:
InstaNatural’s Lemon Essential Oil is extracted from the rinds of lemon, which lends its fresh citrus fragrance. This cold-pressed oil has a strong bright scent that is both refreshing and uplifting. Its astringent and purifying properties also make it a great aid to help cleanse and tone the skin, while delivering a boost of Vitamin C antioxidant benefits.
Store Bottle In A Cool, Dark Location
Dilute Well Before Use
The lemon oil comes in a 4 Fl Oz/ 120 ml glass bottle with eyedropper. I could not believe how big the bottle is. Most essential oils come in a very small bottle. InstaNatural's bottle is huge! The eyedropper is very long and makes it very easy to get ever drop of the oil. The lemon oil smells absolutely amazing. I could smell it when I opened the box. It is not overwhelming though. It has such a clean, crisp scent to it. I put the oil in an oil diffuser and it made my house smell so good and clean. I also put a few drops in my dishwater. It definitely left my dishes extra clean and smell so good. It also left my hands feeling very soft. I also put a few drops on a few cotton balls and put them around the house. It leaves such a nice aroma throughout my house. Even though the bottle is glass it feels very sturdy. I love the amber color and the look of the bottle. I am definitely a big fan of this Lemon Essential Oil. It is $19.97 but definitely worth every penny. You get a huge bottle, so it will definitely last you a very long time.
InstaNatural’s Peppermint Essential Oil is a multi-purpose oil that cools, energizes and refreshes the body and mind. This steam-distilled oil is extracted from dried or fresh leaves from the Mentha Piperita herb, giving it a sharp, menthol fragrance. Its pleasantly sweet and minty aroma makes it a premium choice for aromatherapy to improve the mind and lift the spirits.
The Peppermint Essential Oil is also in a 4 FL Oz/120 ML glass bottle. I love the look of the bottle. It would definitely catch my eye if I was walking in the store and saw it. It is very pretty! It also smells so good! The peppermint is very strong, but not to the point where it would give you a headache. I put it in an essential oil diffuser and it made my house smell so lovely and minty. It made me feel very relaxed! The smell reminds of Christmas morning..smelling all of those yummy candy canes. It smells so lovely. I am not a fan of taking medications..I prefer using more natural products. I love using peppermint oil to help with migraines. I rub a little bit of it with some coconut oil on my temples. It helped my migraine tremendously. It is also $19.97, but just like the lemon will definitely last you for a very long time.
I would definitely recommend both the Lemon Essential Oil and the Peppermint Oil from InstaNatural. If you are unhappy with either product, InstaNatural has a 100% lifetime money back guarantee. I don't think you would need it though.
