Memorial Day Fashion Post + Target Coupon Code

 * means affiliate link

Heyyy there! Happy Sunday!
I typically don't post on Sunday's, but I figured since tomorrow is Memorial Day and I am not sure if I will post then because my husband and I are currently in the process of moving again! Ahhh! My husband travels a lot with his job and I love being with my husband and traveling so I always go with him. It is a win-win situation. :)
Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays. I love any holiday that can celebrate our troops and their families. My Father-In-Law and my Papa (who is in Heaven now) are both Veterans, so Memorial Day is not just another day for us. I am extremely thankful for everything that anyone that has been/is/will be fighting for our country and all of their family members. It takes a lot of sacrifice to have someone in the Military....for that I am forever grateful!
One way my family and I usually like to celebrate Memorial Day is by having a cookout and spending the day by the pool. I love dressing up and displaying my American Pride on days like Memorial Day and 4th of July. So I found some adorable pieces just in case you are just like me...

Okay, so first up I found these two very patriotic tank tops. They are both from a Boutique that I follow on Instagram called 512 Boutique. They have some of the cutest stuff! You should definitely check them out. Both tanks can be paired with anything really...navy or red shorts or
even jeans or black leggings.

You can find the tank tops here and here

For my dress lovers, I found these two adorable dresses! I am in love with the both of them! They both look so comfortable. I found both dresses at another Boutique I follow on Instragram (are we seeing a pattern here? haha). The Boutique is called In Bloom Boutique and is definitely another one you should check out. The Navy and White dress on the left could be paired with some red accessories to really give it the red, white, and blue look. I personally would not pair the dress on the right with a lot of accessories...maybe just one bracelet because you don't want to take away from the dress.

You can find the dresses here and here

For those that will be spending the day at a pool, lake, or the lucky ones that get to spend it at the ocean I definitely did not want to leave you out. I found some American Pride bathing suits at Target aka my favorite place in the World. I can definitely spend way too much money there. Target literally has everything, so it comes to no surprise that they have adorable flag bathing suits. I think both pieces are beyond cute and actually you could get both and just mix-match the different pieces together. So you would actually end up with 4 different bathing suits instead of just two. :)

You can find them here* and here.*

BONUS:
Target is having a Memorial Day Sale!
You can get 30% off all apparel by using
 the promo code:
MEM30

Code is only valid May 24, 2015 and May 25, 2015
So Act Fast!! :)

How will you be spending Memorial Day?

P.S. Thank you again to all of those that have been in the Military, are in it now, or are planning on it in the future and to all of their loved ones as well...
Thank you for sharing your loved one with the United States. :)

Review: Hask Argan Oil Healing Shine Hair Treatment

Hey there loveys! It is almost Friday..woot woot!
If you have read any of my previous posts then you know I am obsessed with oils. I love them all! So when I ran across this little bad boy at Walgreens I knew it was coming home with me. It is the Argan Oil Healing Shine Hair Treatment from Hask. I had never heard of the brand before, but the cute little pocket size version of Argan Oil definitely caught my attention. I could just visualize it being in my makeup bag. It would be perfect for traveling or just fit nicely on my makeup counter. So I had really high hopes for it and was really hoping it wouldn't let me down.
So just keep reading to see if it did or not.... ;)

Fun Facts:

Here is how the Argan Oil is described from Hask:
Frizzed hair got you frazzled? Damaged hair got you down? Hask ® Argan Oil from Morocco Repairing Shine Oil to the rescue! This lightweight, alcohol-free oil absorbs instantly to provide frizz-free shine without leaving an oily residue. Argan Oil is rich in essential fatty acids and penetrates hair to restore shine and provide soft, silky results in dry, damaged hair. It’s no wonder they call Argan Oil the “Miracle Oil”! The lively scent will refresh and uplift your senses.

Directions:
Can be used on both wet and dry hair to create a silky, smooth finish. Apply a coin-sized amount evenly throughout hair, avoiding the root area. Style as desired. For the sleekest, healthiest hair imaginable, use Hask® Argan Oil Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner.

Review:
The bottle for the Argan Oil is plastic and it comes with a pop top lid. This is definitely not my favorite feature of the Oil. I wish it would come with a pump to make sure you don't waste a lot of the product. I am definitely very clumsy and have knocked the Argan Oil over a couple of times on my bathroom counter and the oil spilled out of it. It is like most oils and has a very liquid consistency (you can see in the above picture). The Oil itself though is seriously AMAZING! I can honestly say it is the best Argan Oil treatment I have ever used. You seriously only need a pea sized amount to cover your hair. I only apply oil from the bottom of my ears to the ends. You want to avoid putting oil near your roots unless you like the greasy look. I applied it to towel-dried hair and on completely dry hair. The oil was amazing both ways. It did not make my hair feel weighed down and I was still able to style my hair with heating tools. It really made my hair feel very soft and left it very silky and shiney. It helped so much with my frizzy hair and flyaways.
The oil is very lightweight and has a very citrusy scent to it. I really enjoy the smell. Another great quality of this product is that it is very affordable. Even though it does come in a small vial, a little does goes a long way. This product definitely did not let me down and actually surpassed my expectations.
I am beyond impressed.

Have you tried any of the HASK Beauty products before?
What were your thoughts?

Review: Covergirl's The Super Sizer Mascara

Well hello there! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far. :)
Do you have that product that when you see it you just smile because it makes you think about warm weather and Summer time? Well I do now. So maybe I am a little warm weather deprived and that's why products are making me think about Summer. I moved a couple of months ago to the northern part of the United States and we are still getting snow...yes, snow in May. Tell me about it. This southern girl does not do very well in the snow or very cold weather. So if a product is bright and colorful it just puts me in a very good mood. Take the new mascara from Covergirl, The Super Sizer, for instance. When I look at it, it just puts me in a good mood.
Am I the only one? No? Yes? Okay then..moving on.

So I was sent The Super Sizer and the Intensify Me! Liquid Liner by Covergirl from the lovely people at Covergirl. I could not wait to try them both out because I keep hear amazing reviews about them both from a few people I watch on Youtube. I will actually do a post on the liquid liner later, but today's post is all about The Super Sizer Mascara.

Here is how Covergirl describes the mascara
from their website:
The Super Sizer by LashBlast Mascara gives you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes. Our amazing Lash Styler transforms even small lashes— just twirl as you apply it to your lashes for an instantly Super Sized lash look. Opthalmologically tested, suitable for those who wear contact lenses.

HOW TO APPLY

STEP 1
Start by placing the Lash Styler right at the base of the lashes, use the flat side at the base. You will get immediate (even shocking) drenching of the mascara.
STEP 2
Then comb the volume through from root to tip, by twirling or rotating as you go. This will allow the shorter bristles to deliver maximum mascara while the longer bristles comb it through.

STEP 3
Apply multiple coats to create even more volume.

Fun Facts:
Name: The Super Sizer by Covergirl
Released: May 2015
Size: 12 ml (.4 fl oz liq.)
Other Colors available: Black Brown, Black, and Very Black
Also available in Waterproof: YES
Extra Tidbit: The bristles in the wand are space further apart than most mascara wands. This is so the lashes are coated with the mascara in groups to give a more dramatic look.
For more information: www.Covergirl.com

Review:
So, we already know what my First Impression of the mascara is. It is so pretty and colorful. I love the bright colors. It does come in a rather large tube, so I think that might turn some people away because it will obviously take up a lot of space in your makeup bag. To me I don't find that as a problem. I don't mind a product taking up more space if it is worth it. Plus, with a name like THE SUPER SIZER you sorta need a big statement piece. How funny would it have been if the product was super tiny and still called The Super Sizer?!
I applied the mascara exactly how the directions said to apply it. I was completely blown away with how much volume it gave my lashes. My lashes were almost touching my eyebrows! I actually tried the mascara without curling my eyelashes just to see how well it would do and it actually gave them a nice curl. Then I tried the mascara after curling my eyelashes to see if it would hold the curl and it did! My lashes stayed curled right up until I removed the mascara. I will admit it made me a little nervous at first because it looks like there is a ton of product on the wand, but the directions said to keep the product on there. I am so glad I did because when I applied the wand to the base of my lashes it really did intensify the look and made my lashes look really thick. The wand was very easy to work with and I was able to reach in the corner of my eyelashes to get those tiny lashes that are hard to reach.
The formula is very nice. I was able to put a few coats of the mascara on without it clumping up or drying on me. I did not have any problems with it flaking off throughout the day. It looked just as nice at the end of the day as it did when I first applied it.
I am extremely impressed with The Super Sizer Mascara and it has easily become one of my top favorite drugstore mascaras.

Have you tried The Super Sizer yet?
What are your thoughts?

OPI I'm Feeling Sashy

Hey loveys!
So I am back with another OPI polish and it is another oldie, but a goodie. I was in the mood to wear a purple polish and decided to go with "I'm feeling Sashy" by OPI.

Facts:
Name:  I'm Feeling Sashy by OPI
Collection: Miss Universe Collection 2013
Released: October 2013
Other Colors in Collection: Miss You-niverse, This Gown Needs A Crown, and I'm Feeling Sashy
Extra Tidbit: Contains no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde
For more information: www.opi.com/

Review

Color:
I'm Feeling Sashy is described as a dusky purple. I think that is a perfect description for it.
It is a very warm purple. It is a very unique color. I think this would be perfect for Fall.

Application & Formula:
This polish has a creme formula. I always apply a white polish first as a base and then I applied 2 coats of I'm Feeling Sashy to get it completely opaque. As always with OPI, it was very smooth and easy to apply. It does have a thick consistency, so just be cautious with that. It dries to a nice glossy shine.

Sephora Wishlist

Hey loveys! I hope yall had an amazing weekend. I definitely did! My husband and I did a lot of sightseeing over the weekend. We went to Mount Rushmore and a few other places. Make sure to check out my Instagram if you want to see some of the pictures. :)
So I absolutely love the store Sephora. Actually, I would probably say I am obsessed with it. One of my favorite things to do if I can't go in the store and just stare at all of the beautiful things in there is to get on their website and make a Wishlist of things that I want. I thought I would share my current wishlist with you guys.

1. Nars Tahiti Bronzing Powder I am just dying to get my hands on this bronzer. It looks so beautiful! And bonus you get a mini Nars Ita Brush. I mean hello! What more could you ask for?!?!
It just looks like the perfect bronzer.

2. The Little Black Book of Bronzers by Too Faced: OMG! Look at this book of bronzers! WOW! I can not stop staring at this product. Besides the Nars Tahiti Bronzer
I would not need another bronzer for a very long time.

3. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush: Can we all just stop and stare at this gorgeous blush?!?! It is absolutely gorgeous!! I have never tried any products from Hourglass, so I am very new to the brand. I would love to have this blush in my collection though.

4. Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist's Palette: I think this palette has the perfect colors to achieve an everyday eye makeup look, but also the perfect smokey eye.
Every color looks so pretty.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: I may be the last woman in America that does not have the Brow Wiz. I have been wanting to get it for a very long time, but just haven't for some reason. I keep seeing all of these photos with girls that have amazing eyebrows and they all say they are using the brow wiz.

So that is a few things that are on my Sephora Wishlist right now... I am sure I will be adding more things very soon. And hopefully, I will be doing a review on some of these products very soon. ;)

What is on your Sephora Wishlist?

GTL: Taylor Swift

Happy Friday!
So Taylor Swift's fashion has definitely evolved over the years. I feel like she has gone from girl next door to a major style icon. I think she has a very unique style. I think that she sorta writes her own rules when it comes to fashion. I have seen her wear current fashion statement pieces, but also do a throwback to the 60's and 70's. I really enjoy her style! So when I saw this picture of her floating around the Internet I knew I wanted to recreate it for a much more affordable price.

Oh and can we all stop and admire how AMAZING her legs are looking these days!!
Girl has been working out!!

So here is Taylor's outfit. Her black and white scalloped lace shorts are from Alice + Olivia. They retail for $298. Her black suede ankle boots are from Prada and retails for $990 . And lastly, Taylor's pink purse is from Charlotte Olympia and retails for $765.

Total Cost of Outfit: $2053.00

GET THE LOOK FOR LESS
I found this basic black scoop neck long sleeve tee from Express for $24.90. I am sure you could find one for even cheaper somewhere else. The white and black floral lace shorts are from River Island and are on sale right now for $24.00. I wish they had the adorable scalloped ends like Taylor's shorts do, but it is still pretty close and for a much cheaper price! I found a pink leather crossbody purse at Forever 21 on sale for $16.99. It doesn't have the cute little feline picture on it like Taylor's does, but it will do. The black suede ankle boots are from Target and are on clearance right now for $13.98. I actually think pretty much most of the stuff I found was on sale...SCORE!

Total Cost of Outfit: $79.87

WOW! I am very excited and impressed that the entire outfit is under $100.
I hope you enjoyed this Get The Look For Less. I love doing these and find it very thrilling to try to get an entire outfit for a very small amount.

Who is a style icon that you would love to get
some of their outfits for a much more affordable price?

Color
Can't Find My Czechbook is a beautiful aqua blue color.
It definitely gives that pop of color to your nails!

Application & Formula:
The polish has a creme formula. When I first started applying the polish I thought it be might be a little difficult to work with, but after I continued to use it I found that it was actually very easy to work with. It glides on your nails and sets very nicely. Since it is a creme formula I found that it did take a little longer to dry. I always seem to have the problem with creme formulas.

Bonus Pictures:
Here are some pictures that I posted on my Instagram of me wearing "Can't Find My Czechbook"

Must Have Beauty Products

So I decided to pick out my top 5 favorite Must Have Beauty Products. Now this definitely does not include any makeup. I would have such a hard time picking between all of my favorite makeup products. This is mainly hair and face products. I went through all of my beauty products and picked out 5 of them that I absolutely can not live without.

1. Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Hair Mask
Hands down my favorite hair product ever! This mask is absolutely amazing! It has helped my hair tremendously. If they were ever to stop making this I would be beyond heartbroken. I usually only wash my hair 3-4 times a week, so I will use this mask as a deep conditioner.

2. Cetaphil Gentle Face Cleanser
This gentle face cleanser is perfect for my sensitive skin! My skin just loves this product! I can always tell when I run out of it and try something new...my skin gets very angry!

3. Coppertone Clearly Sheer Faces SPF 30
I do not want skin cancer at all, so I try my best to do anything I can to prevent it. Anytime I go out in the sun I always put on some sunblock. This product is great for sensitive skin as it doesn't cause breakouts or clog pores.

4. Acnefree Terminator 10
I have talked about this product before on my blog, found HERE. It is AMAZING! Your acne does not stand a chance against this acne treatment. I do not ever want to buy another acne spot treatment product. It is that good!

5. Batiste Dry Shampoo for Brunette Hair
This is the only dry shampoo that I have tried that actually works for my dark hair. It absorbs the grease and does not leave that annoying white residue. If you have brown hair, you MUST get this product! It helps keep my hair looking fresh and clean between washes.

What are your Top 5
Must Have Beauty Products?

Guest Post: Power Dressing with LBD

Defined by Vogue as “timeless, essential, iconic”, the little black dress is a thing every woman must have. Also referred to as LBD (which is short for the little black dress), it can be an evening or cocktail dress whose main characteristic is that it is short – due to which it got its name in the first place.

A little bit of history
The origins of the little black dress can be ascribed to the 1920s France, where she was introduced by Coco Chanel and Jean Patou. Their intention was to make it affordable, which means accessible to a wide market, and to make it long-lasting. Black was chosen as a neutral colour, so that it can be versatile and essential to woman’s wardrobe. It has been widely accepted as a rule of fashion, and every girl or a woman should have one.

Since one of its features is to be long-lasting, it is supposed to be as simple as possible, and not to be a part of any trend at that moment, so as not to appear outdated at almost any time.

The little business dress
In recent years, the little black dress has slowly started entering offices. However, the trick about this is to make it less provocative yet keep it stylish. Since black is a perfect neutral colour for the office,  simple yet chic black dresses can be combined with almost anything.

Due to its versatility, you can add a sparkling jewelry, silk scarf, a jacket or blazer, and you are ready to go to for a business meeting. The only trick is to find one that is not so ‘little’, for example knee length, and when you combine it with high heels you will have a perfect daytime look.

LBD advice
In order to make your look similar to that of Audrey Hepburn’s in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, here is what you should have in mind. First of all, you should always try it on. Since we all have different sizes and different brands make different numbers, you can be mistaken by buying a dress that cannot fit your hips for example. Remind yourself to always try it on.
If you cannot decide between two dresses, you will not make a mistake if you choose the one with an eye-catching detail that will look great with your new pair of shoes or that ne bag you have just bought.

Especially if you are buying LBD for work, you should forget about the saying “less is more”. When it comes to business clothing, you should always remember the purpose, and that you will be looked at, so if your skirt is a bit shorter the effect will be completely opposite.
It is always best if you left something to imagination, so as it was mentioned earlier – a knee-length would be perfect. And as for the top part – this is on you to decide. Of course, your cleavage should not be deep, but if you already have such, you can wear a turtle-neck underneath it, so that you do not have to buy a new one for the job.
